OUR STORY

Every pilot’s journey starts somewhere. For Matt, the founder of Lazy H Aviation, it started with a love for flying and a desire to share it with others.

After flight school, he worked as a flight instructor and contract pilot. Teaching quickly became one of his favorite parts of flying. There’s something special about taking someone up for their first flight, watching them take the controls for the first time, and eventually seeing them fly solo.

Over time, he started thinking about what his own flight school could look like. A place that felt personal, welcoming, and focused on safely enjoying the process of learning to fly. So he bought an airplane, took the chance, and started Lazy H Aviation at Crete Municipal Airport (CEK).

Today, Lazy H Aviation works with everyone, from people taking their first flight to students working toward a career in aviation. The goal is pretty simple: provide good instruction, build confident pilots, and make flying something safe that people genuinely enjoy.
